Why counting standards matter
"How many days until" sounds like one question with one answer. It is three questions wearing a trench coat. Excel counts both endpoints; payment terms start counting tomorrow; an insurance policy may define "business day" to exclude state holidays nobody else removed. Every calculator here shows all the conventions that apply, side by side, so the number you act on is a number you chose with your eyes open.
How this site is verified
- Engine tests. The date engine runs against fixed known vectors (leap years, month-end clamping, observed holidays) on every build — a wrong answer fails the build, not your deadline.
- Holiday sources. U.S. federal holidays follow the official OPM schedule; each year's table is verified in January.
- Daily rebuilds. Pages like "days until Halloween" are computed at build time from the current date, so the countdown can never go stale.
What we deliberately do not do
No accounts, no tracking pixels beyond standard analytics, no "premium" gates on arithmetic. The monetization is unobtrusive advertising — clearly separated from the calculators, never disguised as results.
